Established in 1809, the Denby company was named after the Derbyshire village of Denby where they were based. Their original pieces were functional stoneware and decorative hunting jugs. However in recent years the company has branched out and added glassware to their well-established collection of Denby tableware and pottery. The Denby collection embodies the traditional stoneware values and that made them famous and incorporates fantastic British design.
